Basketball

The Nan Chiau Primary School Basketball CCA is made up of the school team and the recreational group. The main focus for the school team is to prepare for the annual zonal and national competitions by imparting in them various games strategies such as Defensive and attacking strategies and high level basketball skills. They are trained under the supervision of a professional and experienced coach. As for the recreational group, the focus is in developing fundamental basketball skills such as ball-handling, dribbling and passing, shooting and also in understanding the rules and regulations of the game. This is to enable them to learn to play and enjoy the game, as well as to develop the passion for Basketball. Our teachers supervise and coach them.  Both the school team and the recreational group are engage in physical training every week to improve their fitness level. We are also committed to instilling in our students the school values of Respect, Responsibility, Sincerity, and Perseverance. Through the regular training and competition matches, the members also have the opportunities to develop their leadership skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
