Use of School Facilities

A. Canteen

  • Proceed to the canteen in an orderly manner.
  • Do not play, run or shout in the canteen.
  • Queue up for your food or drinks.
  • Always be respectful and courteous to all including canteen vendors.
  • Help your younger schoolmates to carry or buy their food.
  • All food and drinks must be consumed in the canteen.
  • Return all used cutlery to the respective collection bins.
  • Do not use the water coolers to wash your hands.
  • Do not wash your feet in the sink.
  • Keep the floor clean and dry.
  • Throw all litter into the bins provided.

B. Hall

  • Do not shout or play in the hall.
  • Do not go up the stage without permission.
  • Keep the floor clean at all times.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the hall.

C. Library

  • Follow the library rules.
  • Silence must be observed.
  • Handle all books with care.
  • Return the books to the proper shelves.
  • Keep the library neat and tidy at all times.

D. Science Room

  • Keep the door and windows closed at all times.
  • Do not bring bags into the room.
  • Obey all instructions.
  • Group leaders are to collect and return Science apparatus after use.
  • Do not tamper with exhibits displayed in the room.
  • Do not play with matches or gas burners.
  • Do not take any teaching aids out of the room.
  • Place all stools under the table before leaving the room.
  • Clean the whiteboard and switch off the fans and lights before leaving the room.

E. Computer Room

Kindly adhere to these rules as they are drawn up with the following aims in mind.

Security

  • Pupils are only allowed to work in the computer room under the supervision of teachers.
  • Removal of any item from the computer room is forbidden.

Proper Usage

  • No computer game diskette is allowed in the room.
  • No part of the computer or its peripherals should be tampered with.
  • Acts of vandalism will be severely dealt with.
  • The COPYRIGHT LAW must be strictly adhered to.

Organisation

  • Moving or exchanging of computers or their peripherals is forbidden.
  • Row leaders, class monitors and prefects are to assist in maintaining order and discipline.
  • All malfunctioning or breakdown of any machine or its peripherals must be
  • reported immediately to the teacher present.

Procedure

  • Do not attempt to repair or rectify any machine or printer faults. Call for your teacher.
  • Check whether printer ribbons are properly inserted before using printer.
  • After use, switch off the PC (remove unwanted and spoilt printer-paper).
  • Ensure that your chair is in its proper place.

F. Other Special Rooms (AVA, Language, Mathematics and Music Rooms)

  • Do not enter these rooms without permission.
  • Follow your teacher’s instructions at all times.
  • Keep the rooms clean and tidy.
  • Handle all equipment with care.
  • Switch off all the lights before leaving the rooms.

G. P.E. Equipment

  • Do not remove any equipment without permission.
  • Return all equipment after use.
  • Do not mess up the room.

H. Toilets

  • Do not waste water.
  • Do not play in the toilet.
  • Keep the floor clean and dry.
  • Flush the toilet after use.
  • Be considerate to other users.

I. Car Park

  • Do not play in the car park and the surrounding areas.
  • Watch out for cars at all times.
